appropriate practice attire:
Headgear for ear protection
Wrestling shoes
Gym shorts

Wrestlers with braces need a mouthguard

TOURNAMENTS

Competitive tournaments are run by MYWAY – Michigan Youth Wrestling Association.  Tournaments are hosted by various schools throughout the Metro region from late December through March. Tournaments generally take place on Sundays with an occasional Saturday.

Participation in tournaments is optional and is generally based on a wrestler's progression in the sport and interest in competition.

It is generally recommended that all MCWC members wrestle in minimally two to three tournaments a season, as it is the tournaments that most children look forward to.

Motor City Wrestling Club was established in 2001.
